Round 8 : Game Day!

The Jersey I won at a Silent Auction in 2011

Welcome to Round 8! After a week off I am super keen to watch my boys - yes I call them my boys - play tonight. At first I was going to watch the game on TV, but who am I kidding, LIVE is much much better! So I have my ticket, my scarf, my jumper and my hat and I am ready to cheer on my boys to victory!

So today is the day that we take on the Bulldogs with former coach of the Sea Eagles, Des Hasler - did someone say controversy? While it is an away game for us, the odds are in our favour (check them out at Centrebet) so let's make this round count and prove to the rest of the Rugby League world that we are still in this game!

We also welcome back Brett and Glenn Stewart. The return of these two could just be the boost that our team needs to stop our losing streak in it's tracks. Unfortunately Kieran Foran will miss yet another game leaving our premiership-winning halves duo, well halved.

Sitting on the sideline for the Titans defeat of the Sea Eagles was heartbreaking to say the least. After our 30-0 win over the Panthers I was confident we were back on the road to victory. To win this one the boys need to be focused on the game at hand and not on the media hype and the buzzing in the twittersphere surrounding this 'battle', as it is being called.

As for me, I cannot wait to be amid the frenzied atmosphere of a football game. I get a certain thrill out of being surrounded by like-minded fans anticipating a victory for their team. The game is full of possibilities, full of opportunities and nothing is more exciting than watching as one of my boys makes a line break and heads toward the try line.

Happy Game Day everyone.
