Round 22 - Cowboys vs Sea Eagles

What a game, nail biting, edge of the seat, holding my breath type of game. We were able to come up with the win in the end but boy was it a tough game for both teams. Jason King was omitted from the final 17, so we weren't quite at our full strength team, but we are getting closer, week by week.

Sitting at home watching the game, not being able to cheer our boys on and give them the boost that they might have needed is difficult for a fan like me. I like to be on the sideline where my cheers may be heard.

The game was a slow one, with both teams holding well in defence. There were a lot of close calls, and missed opportunities but both teams stood strong in defence which lead to the very low scoring game. Manly scored a try in the first half and North Queensland scored a try in the second half, and they would be the only two tries of the game. With 13 minutes left on the clock, a penalty was awarded to Manly and we decided to take the two points.

Lyon was succesful and for the next 13 minutes both sides sat on the edge of their seats unsure about how the game would end. We could lose the lead so easily. We held on well and managed to ensure the Cowboys didn't see the other side of the try line. I think when the siren sounded that ended the second half, I was able to breathe once again.

Please, Manly Sea Eagles, never cause me heart palpitations like that again! It was a really good game, and it really highlighted the reasons why both teams where in the top eight.
